We are delighted to introduce an ancient art from a modern day handcrafter. Pine needle basketry is said to date back some 9000 years, before pottery was even made.
This particular little beauty is a lidded dish and would be handy to hold any sort of trinket or treasure in the bedroom or office, or even crackers or other snacks in the kitchen. We have several around the house and they stand up to daily (gentle) use, very well.
It measures 2 3/8" high x 7 1/4" diameter, without lid on, and the lid can be used on its own as small plate.
Each piece is one-of-a-kind and beautifully produced by Gail Nowakowsky, who is the mother of Delish General Store's proprietor and e-shopkeeper, Tamara Komuniecki.
Check out our smaller dish without a lid as well, and more beautiful items in the handcrafted category.
